A New Twist on an Old Story

“AntiCone” Hosted by Baltimore Theatre Project

 

Running through June 26 at Baltimore Theater Project is “AntiCone” by Natasha Mirny and Tia Shearer. Inspired by Sophocles’ “Antigone,” this play is the largely wordless story of an immigrant who is put to work building a wall against her country of origin (and, therefore, her brothers), under the dangerous eye of new leader, Creon, and against the pull of her ancient namesake. of a multifaceted exhibit curated by Yasmin Perkins. It features the works of
John Johnson, Granville Templeton, D. Antwone, Patrick Williams, and Craig
Curbean. The exhibit will run from June 18–July 23 at Genius Guice
