The Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) announces the release of the FY21 Public Art Across Maryland (PAAM) Grant Guidelines. PAAM continues to fund New Artworks and this year launches funding to support Conservation of public art. 

New Artworks provides two types of support to Maryland independent artists, non-profit organizations, and or local government:

  • New Artworks Planning Grant – awards of up to $5,000 to support the community visioning process and development of a concept proposal for new public artwork
  • New Artworks Implementation Grant – awards of up to $20,000 to support the fabrication and installation of new public artwork

Conservation provides two types of support to non-profit organizations or local government:

  • Conservation Planning Grant – awards of $5,000 to support an artwork conservation assessment
  • Conservation Implementation Grant – awards of up to $50,000 to support the conservation of permanent public artwork
