With the partnership and support of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Grit Fund is offering Emergency Recovery Grants (ERG) ranging from $500-$1,000 to Baltimore based artists who applied to the 2020 Grit Fund, Grit Fund Alumni, and artists whose income and opportunities have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
TheERG Fund totals $100,000 and will provide approximately eighty grants to artists. These unrestricted $500-$1,000 grants may be used for immediate needs such as housing, utilities, food, childcare, healthcare, etc.
The Emergency Recovery Grant application is open Friday, April 24 through Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11:59pm.
Grant notification will be sent out no later than Friday, May 22, 2020.

The Baltimore Jewish Film Festival is now VIRTUAL! Join online from May 16 – June 10 for this diverse selection of dynamic, inspiring and meaningful films from around the world, examining Jewish history, heritage, and culture.
Wide Angle Youth Media presents Virtual Iconic Prom (VIProm), developed in response to COVID-19, so that Baltimore City Public School students are able to enjoy their prom from the comfort and safety of home.
VIProm will feature live performances, dance battles, virtual photo booths, and gift card giveaways. Performers include Dina Maeva, Kudo Nyc, John Tyler, Julien Chang, DJ Nnocent, and Image the Rapper.
This virtual event is sponsored by Wide Angle Youth Media. Wide Angle is a media arts non-profit located in Baltimore, MD. Youth involved in the organization are leading this event, and all current high school students nation wide are invited to join the livestream!

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, created as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. To commemorate the occasion, the Parkway Theater is bringing together some of their favorite Baltimore filmmaking from the past year for an afternoon of free screenings and events for the community via an online livestream.

The Baltimore Artist Emergency Relief Fund coalition is happy to announce that it has exceeded the initial goal of raising $125,000 to award $500 mini grants to artists living in Baltimore City. To date, nearly 200 grants have been awarded. At this rate, the available funding will be exhausted this week.
As a result, the coalition is no longer accepting submissions. All applications submitted through Friday, May 1, at 11:59pm, will still be considered for the last round of granting.
