Call for Artists/Request for Qualifications – The Hub Stories public art project in the downtown Community Improvement District, Columbia, MO 

Professional artists are encouraged to participate in the request for qualifications process for providing professional artist services in Columbia, Missouri to the Downtown Community Improvement District for the implementation of The District Gateway Master Plan – The Hub Stories. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and proposal submission information may be found at discoverthedistrict.com. The RFQ intends to provide each artist with enough information to submit an application proposal for services to The District. The purpose of this process is to determine the artist who best meets the demands of the downtown community and requirements of the Downtown CID project.

COURTS ADMINISTRATION BUILDING 1% FOR ART– INTERIOR The City of Oklahoma City has announced a call to artists for an interior work of public art for the new Courts Administration Building in downtown Oklahoma City. The interior artwork sought through this announcement is an opportunity for the selected artist to create a permanent installation piece that is highly visible and prominent inside the building over the interior grand entry staircase. The work can suspend from the ceiling and shall provide a beautiful, welcoming experience for those visiting the Courts Administration Building. The work can be made of glass, acrylic, certain metals, wood and other materials that will not require structural modification of the building. The work may be a suspended three-dimensional sculpture, mobile or kinetic artwork. The work will be viewed from both the interior and the exterior of the building, via large glass panels with southern light exposure.

BUDGET: $193,000

DEADLINE: September 29, 2015 at 4PM

Call for Artists/Request for Qualifications

Public Art at new Interstate – 70 Underpass, Vail, Colorado

Call summary:

The Town of Vail’s Art in Public Places (AIPP) invites professional artists to submit their qualifications and images of previously integrated public art projects for consideration at Vail’s new Interstate – 70 (I-70) Underpass. The total budget is $335,000 to commission public art for this project. AIPP has identified potential locations for this project including, but not limited to pedestrian railing design, a mural location, and a headlight glare screen.  The selected artist(s) will work closely with the designers and Town of Vail design teams to create a cohesive pedestrian and vehicular experience where art complements design.

Ford Pool Public Art Project (Allen, Texas)

The City of Allen and the Allen Public Art Committee (PAC) invite artists or artist teams to submit qualifications for the design, fabrication and installation of mosaic artwork to support columns at Ford Pool. This project requires collaboration with the Prime Consultant and the Project Manager for the renovation.

Project Summary: Request for Qualifications (RFQ) – For an exterior sculptural work of art associated with the campus renovations. The project is open to both in-state and out-of-state artists with regional artists given priority in the selection process.

Gateway Community College (GCC) – New Haven

Project Summary: Request for Qualifications (RFQ) – For purchase and/or commission opportunities. The college is developing an art collection and will be considering a variety of new acquisitions, including, but not limited to, paintings, sculptures, and site-specific wayfinding installations throughout the new campus building. The project is open to both in-state and out-of-state artists.

Budget: $475,000

Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), Buley Library – New Haven

Project Summary: Request for Qualifications (RFQ) – For an exterior sculptural work for the recently renovated Buley Library. The project may include an interior opportunity that compliments the larger exterior installation. The project is open to both in-state and out-of-state artists.

Deadline: Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Budget: $305,000
