The Town of North Beach is placing a call for entries for SUNRISE: A Celebration of the Arts which takes place Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 12 to 6 pm. The location of the event is along the beautiful Chesapeake Bay which borders Bay Avenue in North Beach, Maryland. SUNRISE: A Celebration of the Arts is an OUTDOOR SCULPTURE COMPETITION and an ART FESTIVAL. Entries for the SCULPTURE COMPETITION and the ART FESTIVAL must be made separately. PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED! The Town of Bel Air is seeking a muralist for an exterior wall located on the garages behind the Armory on Main Street. The purpose of the mural is to provide visual appeal to the blank wall on the north side of the Armory Garages and to provide additional public art in the downtown area. The concept for the mural is to create a colorful, inviting piece of public art that highlights Bel Air as a designated Arts and Entertainment District. Creativity concerning style and content is encouraged to enhance the visual landscape.

VisArts welcomes artists ages 17 – 27 in the DC, Maryland, Virginia, area to submit their application for review for Gen-Y 3.0, our third exhibition by young emerging artists in our Kaplan Gallery from July 22 – August 28, 2016.
Gen-Y 3.0 is an opportunity for young emerging artists to showcase their work in a professional art gallery. Work will be juried into the show by June 12, 2016.
In 2014 Arlington Arts Center launched an initiative to provide a platform for curators looking for opportunities to workshop unrealized ideas for exhibitions, and now we’re bringing it back to AAC in 2016!
This program supports curators by helping develop exhibitions from conception to realization and providing critical professional development over a nine-month period.

The City of Raleigh invites artists or artist teams experienced with the integration of art elements into a community space to submit qualifications to work as a public art consulting member of the project design team for the design and implementation of renovation to John Chavis Memorial Park. A place of pride and profound remembrance, the park celebrates the life and work of educator John Chavis and recognizes the park’s history to the African‐American community during and following segregation.
Public art consultant budget: $20,000.
Up to three finalists will be selected for interviews and paid a $1,000 travel stipend.
