New portraits by Baltimore artist Erin Fitzpatrick at Metro Gallery. The show will be up until October 19th and the opening reception is Sept. 18th from 7-10pm.

MPT host Rhea Feikin is joined by co-hosts including: Stephen Yasko, WTMD; Megan Hamilton, Creative Alliance; Peggy Loar, Corcoran; Gerald Ross, MICA; Vinny Lancisi, Everyman Theatre; Julia-Marciari-Alexander, the Walters; Jason Loewith, Olney Theatre; Mary Amato, Silver Spring Artists Salon; Cara Ober, bmoreart; Kwame Kwei-Armah, Center Stage, and others. Together they introduce viewers to creativity in all its wonderful variety and highlight art events in our own backyard.

The Wind-Up Space will be hosting an art opening this Wednesday, September 11th from 6-9 pm. Black and white drawings by David Fair and collages by Matt Bovie will be on view for one month.

What’s an art cart? An art cart is a homemade cart powered by gravity (no motors or pedals) and designed as a sculpture. Art carts are made using wood, wheels, wire, papier mache, cardboard and your imagination! Previous art carts include a dinosaur, train garden, marble steps, battleship and rocket ship!
