BRIGHTON BOULEVARD PUBLIC ART PROJECT
BUDGET: $250,000 USD
DEADLINE: Friday, September 25, 11:59 PM MST
The City of Denver Public Art Program and the Brighton Boulevard Art Selection Panel has released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for artists who wish to work on a public art project for the Brighton Boulevard Redevelopment Project. The ultimate vision establishes Brighton Boulevard as an engaging, connected, multimodal corridor meeting the needs of a wide variety of users.
The public art component will be integrated within the overall design of the improved streetscape and serve to enliven the corridor with artworks that enhance the unique character of the neighborhood. The artwork should speak to the industrial nature of the area, the diverse and creative communities located in and around the neighborhood, and the nearby Platte River. The selection panel is looking for artists that can demonstrate experience with integrating artwork into the built environment.
