Outside the Margins: Contemporary Artists’ Books

Description of Exhibit
Artists are invited to submit unique or limited edition artist’s books – sculptural, book objets, altered books or book installations. Outside the Margins: Contemporary Artists’ Books, will be held in the Loyola-Notre Dame Library as a part of Baltimore Book Arts. A reception will be held in the library for Outside the Margins on Thursday, March 17. In tandem with this exhibit, Loyola presents Outside the Margins: Artists’ Books from the Betty Sweren Collection, Feb. 15 through March 20 in the Julio Fine Arts Gallery.
Eligibility of Artists and Artwork
All artists in the region may submit up to two works; each work may be represented by 2-3 images to show different views of the work. There is no entry fee. Work must have been created within the last two years. All accepted work must remain for the duration of the exhibit. Work accepted to show must be hand delivered to the Julio Fine Arts Gallery the week of Feb. 8 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Work must be picked up the week of Tuesday, April 5 through Friday, April 8, 11 a.m – 4 p.m. in the Julio Fine Arts Gallery or it will become the property of the gallery.
