OPEN CALL
2016 – 2018 Hamiltonian Fellowship Program
Deadline: March 1st, 2016
The Hamiltonian Fellowship Program serves as a professional steppingstone for emerging visual artists by helping them reach new levels in their artistic practice and career.
The two-year program offers a comprehensive suite of exhibition opportunities, professional development trainings, mentorship, career guidance and an annual artistic stipend to five new artists annually.
Emerging visual artists working in all media are encouraged to apply.
ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE:
Hamiltonian Fellows develop and create new work in preparation for two solo presentations at Hamiltonian Gallery as well as two group exhibitions organized by nationally-renowned curators. Fellows receive exposure through press outreach and are also invited to participate in art fairs.
COMMUNITY:
Fellows are supported by a group of artist peers and alumni as well as gallery and fellowship staff. In addition, each fellow has access to an artist mentor through the program who offers expertise in the development of the fellow’s career and artistic practice.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Through Hamiltonian Artists, fellows are offered professional development opportunities to strengthen their entrepreneurial and business skills. Fellows are also exposed to various facets of the art market and given guidance to help them find their place in the arts economy.
