Baltimore-based band June Star has been writing, recording, and releasing records since 1998. What started as an “alt country-by-the-books sound” quickly expanded to a looser sense of Americana, incorporating elements of pedal steel and acoustic instrumentation as a background for songwriter Andrew Grimm’s musings on what holds us together and pushes us apart.
