Performing Arts Exchange wants to get the word out to Baltimore-area performing artists and presenters about two pre-conferences for the PAE in Baltimore, on Monday, September 28, 2015, 12:00-4:30pm. Click through for more information and to see flyers for these informative sessions.
“For artists who are ready to tour or have begun touring, we’ve partnered with the National Performance Network to offer their “Doin’ It On The Road” workshop. This is a terrific guide to the practical necessities of touring, as well as a variety of ways to engage with communities beyond the stage while on the road. It will be led by NPN’s President/CEO and their National Programs Specialist, and will feature both a touring artist and a presenter from Dance Place in Washington, DC. More info can be found here: http://pae.southarts.org/professional-development/workshops/workshops/doin-it-on-the-road-pre-conference/
For presenters new to the field or in need of an overview, we’re offering “Presenting 101” which covers the fundamentals of presenting. Two experienced presenters – Chad Herzog from the Arts & Ideas Festival and Krista Bradley from BlackRock Center – will cover programming, planning, logistics, and promotion in a workshop that is an essential introduction to the field, and a great refresher-course. More info can be found here: http://pae.southarts.org/professional-development/workshops/workshops/presenting-101-pre-conference/
These workshops are being offered for a $25 fee, or free with full conference registration. We really want to make sure that both of these are promoted to Baltimore artists and presenters – we’ve tested them at previous PAEs, and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive. Essential information, fast and cheap.”
These both sounds like wonderful opportunities for Baltimore area performing artists. Check out the flyers below, and be sure to visit PAE’s website at: http://pae.southarts.org/
