CALL FOR ARTISTS: RALEIGH’S SANDY FORKS ROAD WIDENING PROJECT
The City of Raleigh invites artists or artist teams to submit qualifications to create public art for up to three bioretention basins as a part of the road widening project on Sandy Forks Road.
Public art at Sandy Forks will create a striking visualization directly tied to the historic development of water in Raleigh, the modern treatments of storm water and water conservation, and will tie in to the aims of the project’s Greenroads certification.
Project budget: $71,250.
Up to three finalists will be selected for interviews and paid a $1,000 travel stipend.
See attached for full details, or visit the Office of Raleigh Arts Public Art webpage for application guidelines.
Additional information on the Sandy Forks road widening project can be found here.
Qualifications must be submitted by 5 p.m. EST Friday, February 27, 2015.
