OVERVIEW

Grants are offered in four broad discipline categories—Performing Arts, Media Arts, Visual Arts, Literary Arts—and applications in each discipline category are accepted once per year. Artists may apply for grants of up to $10,000 to support the creation of new artwork over a 12-month period. The current grant cycle focuses on Performing Arts and Media Arts.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts is now accepting applications for the 2016 PNC Transformative Art Prize!  The award grants up to $30,000 to Baltimore City community groups to enliven their underutilized public spaces through high-impact, community-driven public art projects. For 2016, the PNC Transformative Art Prize will build on the momentum and energy of the inaugural Light City Baltimore festival (March 28-April 3) and invite proposals for outdoor lighting and projection works of art. Community groups are asked to partner with artists and/or arts organizations to propose and design a transformative art concept for their neighborhood.

The Brentwood Arts Exchange All-Screened Video Fest is an open-call feature of short film and video work by regional filmmakers. Presented to the public in a social and appreciative atmosphere, the one-day festival is a showcase of known and unknown talent alike. We welcome work in all genres, from narrative, to experimental, to documentary, to anything else. One artist/filmmaker will be awarded Best in Festival with a $300 prize.
